Our Purpose
We offer nature-based, developmentally-informed play experiences that support early childhood growth, family wellbeing, and community connection. Drawing on our backgrounds in psychology and early childhood education, we design sensory-rich, inclusive environments that honour each child’s natural curiosity while empowering caregivers with tools for emotional regulation and mindful parenting. We aim to be a trusted space for families, rooted in research, grounded in nature, and built with deep intention.
Please remember this is a parent-supervised activity. Nahla Nature Play does not take any responsibility for any children.
Our Story
Born from motherhood. Built with intention.
At Nahla Nature Play, we believe that children thrive in nature, and so do their families.
Founded by two sisters with backgrounds in psychology and early childhood education, Nahla was created in response to something we saw missing: meaningful, sensory-rich play spaces that support not only early childhood development, but also family wellbeing and genuine community connection.
Our sessions are grounded in:
Nature-based, child-led play
Emotional development and sensory regulation
Psychoeducation and mindful caregiving
Safe, inclusive spaces for families to connect and feel supported
We’re not just a playgroup. We're a space where children grow, adults feel seen, and community is nurtured with care and intention.
Our Aim
To grow a nurturing community where families feel supported, children are celebrated, and play is purposeful.
We envision:
Expanding Nahla Nature Play into more communities, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast and beyond
Collaborating with educators, mental health professionals, and creatives to offer sessions that enrich the lives of both children and their caregivers
Becoming a trusted space for gentle parenting, nature connection, and early years wellbeing.
Eventually creating workshops and resources that blend psychology, parenting, and play that is accessible to all
Join us in this beautiful journey of discovery and growth.
